Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy sets forth how user information is handled in Oshi Life (the “App”). By using the App, users are deemed to have agreed to the handling of information in accordance with this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

The App collects the following information to provide the service.

3. Purposes of Use

Collected information is used for the following purposes.

4. Publication of Shared Content

Reports, hashtags, display names (nicknames), and similar information that users share to the timeline will be made public so that other users of the App can view them. Please do not share information that you do not wish to make public. When sharing is turned off, the content will no longer be displayed on the timeline.

5. Use of External Services

The App uses services provided by Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage for Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google AdMob, etc.) and Apple (Sign in with Apple, StoreKit, App Store, etc.) for authentication, data storage, image storage, notifications, ad delivery, billing, and other purposes. In connection with this use, information may be processed and stored on the servers of those providers. Please refer to each provider’s privacy policy for how they handle information.

6. Third-Party Provision and Handling Outside Japan

Except where required by law, the operator will not provide collected personal information to third parties without the user’s consent. However, this excludes provision to contractors to the extent necessary for service provision as described in the preceding article. The servers of external services used by the App may be located outside Japan, and user information may be processed and stored outside Japan.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

User data is retained for the period necessary to provide the service. Users may request deletion of data linked to their account, such as oshis, events, expenses, goods, reports, and subscription status, by deleting their account from the App’s settings screen. Shared reports are hidden from the timeline when sharing is turned off or the report is deleted. Please note that data registered as a guest or data linked to an already deleted account may not be recoverable. Deletion from logs and backups of external service providers may also take a certain period of time in accordance with each provider’s policies.

Images such as oshi icons, goods images, and receipts are stored only on the user’s device under the free plan and are not stored in the cloud. Under the paid plan (Premium), these images are backed up to cloud storage (Cloud Storage for Firebase) and used for restoration after device changes or reinstallations. Images can be deleted by deleting the relevant oshi, expense, goods, or other data, or by deleting the account.

8. Security Management

The operator takes reasonable security measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of collected information. However, the operator does not guarantee complete security on communication routes or in external services.

9. Use by Minors

If a minor uses the App, the minor must do so with the consent of a parent or guardian.

10. Advertising

The App displays advertisements through Google AdMob to users who use the App for free. Information such as advertising identifiers (IDFA) may be used for ad delivery and measurement. Before performing tracking, the App requests permission through App Tracking Transparency. Ads may still be displayed even if permission is not granted, but they may be non-personalized or contextual ads that are not based on the user’s interests. Tracking permission status can be changed at any time in the device’s Settings app. Ads are not displayed to users subscribed to the paid plan (Premium).

11. Purchases and Billing

Payment for paid plans (subscriptions) is processed through the App Store provided by Apple. The operator does not acquire or store payment information such as credit card numbers; such information is managed by Apple. The operator handles billing-related information such as product IDs, transaction identifiers, and expiration dates only to the extent necessary to verify subscription status, provide Premium functions, restore purchases, and prevent unauthorized use. Deleting an account or deleting the App alone does not cancel a subscription.

12. Changes to This Policy

The operator may change this Policy as necessary. If a user continues to use the App after the changes, the user is deemed to have agreed to the revised Policy.
